2. THE AIM OF THE TRAINING

The participator of training:

• knows about the importance of tree care, the function of the trees.
• knows about the basic tree problems, the damages.
• knows how to prune garden trees (not fruit trees!) and knows on the special tree care techniques (tree crown stregthening, handling tree-blight, etc.), and is able to execute these techniques properly with the appropriate tools and materials.
• knows the rules and appropriate behaviour connected to the work.

This training does NOT contain rope technique training! During the practical training, we use lifting basket to reach the working area for work-at-height.

3. The name of the qualification in the certificate: Faápoló

the requirements to start the training:

• School pre-training: elementary level school certificate
• Vocational degree: 31 623 01 Timberman, or similar qualification that permits to cut down trees.
• Medical (pre-employment examination) requirements: needed (same, as in case of the Industrial Rope Access Technician training.  For details, see the FAQ: pre-employment examination certificate for vocational training of rope access technican?)

33/1998. (VI. 24.) Decree of the Welfare Ministry on the medical examination of the eligibility of the job, the vocation, and the personal hygiene.

11.§ (4) The pre-employment examination of the jobseekers, and for those who applied for vocational trainings is done by the doctor of the occupational-medical consulting room.

4. TRAINING DURATION

Total time: 240 hours

The training time may change according to the prior knowledge of the student.

The training topics:

• Botanical knowledge – trees
• Pruning and cutting methods, techniques (not fruit trees!)
• Wood surgery
• Static support
• Root protection
• Other tree care tasks
• Technique of caring tall trees
• Tools, materials of tree care
• Law rules, decrees, occuptaional health and safety

5. EVALUATION OF THE KNOWLEDGE

The training ends with an exam (vocational report).
